Prof. Dr. Madeeha Malik

Dr. Madeeha is currently serving as Professor and Director of Pharmacy Department, Hamdard University, Islamabad. Dr. Madeeha received her PhD degree in Pharmacy Practice from University Sains Malaysia and completed her Post doctorate in Pharmacy Practice at Northwest University, South Africa. She is the first female Professor of Pharmacy Practice in Pakistan. She is also serving as HEC approved supervisor for Masters and PhD students. In addition, she was invited in 2018, as Visiting Professor by University of Illinois, Chicago, USA to strengthen research and academic collaboration between US and Pakistani Pharmacy Schools. She has won grant from Euro-QoL in 2019, one of the top Research Organization of the world known for establishing value sets and transformation of health care system of more than 100 countries globally, for pilot study of health valuation in Pakistan. Dr. Madeeha also won the 2018 fellowship award of National Medicine Symposium, organized by WHO in Australia and represented Pakistan at the prestigious platform. She is also serving as Editor-in-Chief for Healthcare Journal of Pharmaceutical & Allied Sciences. She has published over hundred peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters, and has presented as keynote and podium speaker in over fifty presentations and posters. She is extensively involved in community work and is heading Community Engagement program of Hamdard University. Her areas of expertise & interest includes health & drug policy, obesity and eating disorders, health literacy, health related quality of life, rational drug use, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, community services, smoking control & cessation, clinical pharmacy, mental health, health technology, pharmacy education and workforce. Prof. Dr. Madeeha is alo a member for national infection control committee for ICT.
